Part Time Program Counselor
If you like working with children in a fun environment, complete and return an application to be a part time Program Counselor! The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley hires part time program counselors year round with the bulk of our hiring in May (prior to summer) and again in August (prior to the start of the school year.) Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Experience with children is a plus!
Part Time Youth Bus Driver
We are willing to train the right person! Applicants must be over the age of 25, have a clean driving record and be able to pass a complete physical and drug screening. Interested candidates are invited to complete an application and bring it into the Club along with a current H6 form which is obtainable through the DMV. A Class “B” drivers license and Youth Bus Certificate are required which will be awarded after hiring and completion of our Youth Bus Certification process.
Part Time Program Aide
The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley is looking for a PT Program Aide to work
in our After School Program with School Age Youth. This position plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, such as education and literacy, homework completion, arts & crafts, and physical education. First aid & CPR certification,
TB clearance and School District equivalency test required or AA degree.
Full Time Educational Director
The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is seeking a full-time Education Director to plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate after-school education and safety programs at three club sites located in Simi Valley. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of a new After School and Summer Learning Academy, as well as our year-round tutoring programs.
Responsibilities include curriculum planning and evaluation, professional development, staff supervision, school presentations, budget management, standards of quality evaluation, volunteer recruitment and training, data collection, and other duties as assigned.
• Two years in after school programs or in a classroom setting
• Teaching experience (California credential preferred)
• Previous supervisory experience, including recruitment and training of employees and volunteers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Two years project management experience
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
