Part Time Program Counselor/Aide
The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley is looking for Program Counselors to work
in our After School Program with School Age Youth for the 2015-2016 school year. Under the supervision of the Site Director, this position is responsible for planning and implementing daily academic and enrichment activities that align with content from the regular school day. This includes tutoring and helping youth complete homework daily, planning and teaching educational enrichment activities daily, planning and implementing physical education activities daily and completion of weekly documentation. Staff are responsible for setup/cleanup, prepping for all activities, preparing and serving snack and effectively managing a classroom of 20 students. Staff are responsible for maintaining classroom and all materials/equipment.First aid & CPR certification, TB clearance and School District equivalency test required or AA degree. Work hours are Monday - Friday 1:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Pay range is $9-$10 per hour. All candidates will be subject to fingerprinting and a background check.
Part Time Youth Bus Driver
The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley is looking for Part-time responsible, reliable drivers for after school pick-ups. All applicants must have an excellent driving record, be 25 years or older and be able to pass a complete physical and drug screening. Youth Bus training and certification process will be provided to potential candidates with a clean driving record and meeting Boys & Girls Club driver's standards. Training Compensation provided. Certified drivers hourly rate is $12 per hour. Driver hours vary from 12 to 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday plus opportunities for additional hours based upon job performance.
All candidates will be subject to fingerprinting and a background check.
Part Time Site Director
The Boys & Girls Club of Simi Valley is looking for a PT Bi-Lingual (Spanish Speaking) Site Director to supervise and work in an On-Site After School Program with School Age Youth. This position supervises all program staff, day-to-day operations and oversees all aspects of the after school curriculum. This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation, and evaluation of all after school activities provided within a specific program area, such as education and literacy, homework completion, nutrition, arts & crafts, and physical education. In addition, this position is responsible for all aspects of on-site parent communication, ensuring the safety of all students in the program and building a positive relationship with the school site. First aid & CPR certification, TB clearance and School District equivalency test required or AA degree. Position is
25-30 hours per week. Compensation is $10.00 - $13.00 / hour based on experience. All candidates will be subject to fingerprinting and a background check.
